THE UK MARINE OFFENCES ACT - 40th ANNIVERSARY

Euroradio 2007 - France Radio Club /Offshore Echo's

France Radio Club and Offshore Echo's annual event commemorates the 40th anniversary of the British Marine Offences Act, that closed most of the offshore radio stations down in August 1967.

Euroradio 2007 takes place in Calais, France on Saturday 8 September, at theHotel Georges V. Commemorating 40 years ago, and celebrating the best of offshore radio, with special guests and video presentations.

This year's special guests include:
SIMON DEE: The man who officially opened Radio Caroline at mid-day on Easter Saturday 28th March 1964.
CARL THOMPSON: One of Radio Caroline's original engineers in the 1960's, Carl will be introducing an audio-visual presentation
JOHN ASTON: Worked on a number of 60's offshore stations under a variety of names, and will be re-calling some of those times
DAVE MACKAY: In contrast to most of the offshore stations, Britain Radio & Radio 355 broadcast "easy listening" music. Dave remembers life aboard the Laissez Faire.
OTHER GUESTS: To be announced

Booking: Euroradio 2007 costs 35 euro (£24.00) including dinner, or just 10 euro (£7.00) for the afternoon (without dinner).
