KBC to leave shortwave

KBC Radio, which broadcasts on 6055 via Lithuania from 2130-2230 UTC every night (and Sundays 0200-0300 UTC on 6110) has announced it is stop broadcasting on shortwave from September 30.

On their website, the station says it is moving and will be announcing its new frequency soon. It would appear they are moving to medium wave. Maybe back to their old frequency on 1386!

KBC on 1386 was never strong. Maybe the 500 kW announced were only 5 kW !

Now Euskadi Irratia is on 1386 with 50 kW (not fake kilowatts!), so the lithuanian relay will be heard maybe up to eastern Poland, no more.
