Pirate radio station broadcast from woman's home

A WOMAN who allowed pirate radio station Hot FM to broadcast from her home has been given a 12- month conditional discharge.

Equipment was found on the balcony of a flat belonging to 31-year-old Kizzy James of Ledbury Close, Ladywood, Birmingham, on July 22 last year, Birmingham Magistrates’ Court heard. Investigating officers had gone to the property to stop the pirate radio station from broadcasting.

The equipment found on the balcony was attached to a transmitter which allowed the radio station to broadcast music.
