Teenager's pirate station raided again

An Ottawa, Canada, teen’s pirate MIX FM 91.9 radio station went off the air — again — Friday after police and government officials raided his father’s hotel.

RCMP and Industry Canada officials arrived at the Saade International Hotel on Bank St. in Gloucester to shut it down at 9 a.m. Jayhaed Saade, 14, had been on the local airwaves off and on for the past couple months.

The unlicensed station kept spinning songs while police searched the hotel for Saade’s transmitter.

Saade had hidden some of the equipment and wouldn't tell police — or his father Georges Saade — where it was located.
