ReplyDeletei once had an old ex wmr rig down here in the shack.frightened the pissin life out of me it did.the main ht transformer was fixed to the chassis with celotape, the anode current meter was mounted on the top with evostick and yes,the pa coil was a bog roll.. had a right pisser off if when i attempted to tune the bugger up.think it's still lurking around up in the loft as the owner refused to take it back home with him after the dam thing nearly electricuted his pet cat.poor thing was found huddled in the corner shaking to death with it's fur standing on end after sniffing around that old 807 with that piece of tatty old bell wire strapped to the anode cap.poor thing!!!!
