SWR stopped broadcasts on 7265 kHz eight years ago but recently the station has been heard again on 7265 kHz.
Manuel Méndez of Lugo, Spain reports via the DX Listening Digest Yahoo group: "About the German station Südwestrundfunk SWR now on 7265 kHz Short Wave, that I picked it up 25th of November, this station has been out of the air since 2004 in this frequency. I send an e-mail in English to the Station to see if they confirm the come back to the air on Short Wave and here is the reply in German. Below is the English translation with the aid of Google translate."
Udo Merzig
Dear Mr. Méndez,
SWR operates since 2004 no more with the short-wave transmitter. In addition, we have this former SWR frequency without license. Currently, however, our SWR3 program is broadcast illegally on the 7265 kHz frequency without our permission. The German Federal Network Agency has been informed of this fact and we check if we can take legal action against the unknown people who are transmitting our program.
For further questions please contact us.
Sincerely yours
Udo Merzig

Harald Khul adds on the BDXC Yahoo group: "Hamburger Lokalradio is testing on 6190 kHz and 7265 kHz. However, there was a jamming station trying to interfer with these tests. Also the program of Westdeutscher Rundfunk WDR4 has been used for deliberate jamming of Hamburger Lokalradio on 6190 kHz and 7265 kHz."

It is a b it stupid from that shortwave radio listener to have noticed that to these official german stations ...
ReplyDeleteBut that pirate station is also a bit stupid to relay them ...
Yes, and I guess some "Dxers" even wrote in to SWR asking for a QSL
ReplyDeleteA bit stupid? The listeners are more dangerous than the PTT in this days.
