Yes,that is a big signal - but without an idea of where you are listening, is it of use? Just asking as it could be groundwave or skywave you were getting.

  3. If I'm listening via the Twente SDR I mark it on my logs. Otherwise, it is on my Kenwood R-5000 at my QTH in southern England.

If I had known it was you giving the logging, then your rough location would have been known and it would have all been clear, but you commented as 'Anonymous' so it could have been anyone, from anywhere. Thanks for enlightening.

  5. Sorry, I'm not the anonymous logger with the S9+60dB report. I was referring to my own logs. Perhaps if he doesn't want to give his location out publicly he could contact Focus directly.

I was listening to Focus last night and the signal was powering in, getting up to towards +40dB, and that was with my 20m longwire.

Gary Stevens' 78rpm show was something different, and I found it enjoyable although the music was way before my time! I remember my parents had an old record player that used to play at 45/33/78 rpm and you could stack up records and when one finished playing the next would drop down!

That's the beauty of free radio ... you never know what you'll hear next!

Thanks for clarifying - I might have misundersttod your last comment.!! Know what you mean about Free Radio - it sometimes dishes up unusual stuff, although having said that, a lot of stations just play stuff one can get on a lot of stations anyway. Choice is always good thoug, isn't it?
