Hi All
ReplyDeleteRadio Piepzender (I think that's the correct spelling!) was on 3920 kHz through the mid evening, first noted via the University of Twente's set at 9.22pm. Rock music including Simple Minds and Midnight Oil. Stable signal and good audio.
At 9.25pm, a distorted audio but strong signal was heard on 6305 kHz playing David Bowie's "China Girl". Checked the stream on Radio Merlin's website, and it matched. Perhaps a different transmitter?
I know they are legals, but the Low Power "hobby" AM stations from Denmark - WMR, Radio208 and Radio Oz Viola, were all very strong on the band tonight. Oz Viola on 5825 were broadcasting anoraky tapes of Ric Harris on Laser 558. [I am making an assumption that the transmitter was Radio Oz Viola, but I guess it could have been a pirate - perhaps Radio 319? No station ident was heard by me].
A strong Dutch pirate was on 1611 kHz from late afternoon onwards. Polka, schlager, old pop hits. Identified at 9.58pm as Radio Tower. On 1638 kHz was a good signal from Radio Bluebird, which I could also clearly here on a portable radio.
The station on 5825 wasn't Oz Viola but pirate on its frequency. Not Radio 319 but a so-far unid pirate station.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your loggings.
