French unlicensed freebanders busy all through the afternoon Saturday on 6650 kHz LSB and 6660 kHz LSB including one playing French pop music. Not familiar with many of the tracks played but the 1987 Eurodance hit "Voyage Voyage" by Desireless, which is also popular with Dutch AM pirates, was given an airing.
ReplyDeleteRussian unlicensed freebanders (called "radio hooligans" by the Russian government) loud and clear this evening on 10460 kHz, their main calling channel. But over the last couple of days, some operators seem to have been transmitting music in USB and what appears to be audio from Russian language TV.
On the extended medium wave "pirate band" above 186 metres, Radio Armada on its customary frequency of 1673 kHz at 22.30 UTC. Announcements in Dutch and a computer generated English ID also. Music varied from rock and roll to country.
ReplyDeleteRadio Kaiser en Kaiseren (tenantive) on 1647 kHz. Lively polkas and Dutch traditional music, noted at 22:35 UTC. Announcements were in Dutch and modulation nice and clear.
Radio Nachtzwerver on 1625 kHz at 22:40 UTC with pop and rock music including Queen, Earth and Fire and a bit of techno! Good signal and modulation.
thanks .... TRX Radio very strong on 6205 at 2310
ReplyDeleteThose were the days Paul when stations were regularly heard on 3 and 6 MHz late Saturday night into Sunday!
