FRS News #36: special 30th Anniversary edition
The latest edition of FRS News #36 is out for some time now. In this 24 page edition (in colour!). In the past months FRS-Holland has been working very hard to produce this booklet covering 30 Years of FRS Holland. It contains several photos and of course much information:

  • Memories on 30 Years of FRS-Holland from both former presenters and listeners;
  • a Number of Fact Files (Special moments to Remember, FRS Presenters 1980-2010, The Beginning);
  • Reflections on 30 Years of FRS-Holland;
  • The 1983 Raid;
  • Mailbox 2702 including the Anniversary mail;
  • How the 30th Anniversary broadcasts came about;
  • Last but not least a potted history 1980- 2010 !!

This is a true collector's item and no doubt it makes an interesting read! We never produced something similar in the past. In case you are interested …you can obtain a hard-copy of our specially produced 30Years of FRS-Holland booklet for 5 euro/ 7 US dollars in cash.
Send your order to FRSH, POBox 2702, 6049 BE Herten, the Netherlands.

In the meantime FRS-Holland has become 31 years....

FRS Holland test broadcast on Sunday

Hello Radio Friends
Some latest info. Next Sunday 16 October at 08:00 UTC/ 10:00 CEST there will be a 60 minute test on 7600 kHz in preparation for the FRSH 23rd October broadcast.
According to our tx operator, it might be the case that 7600 is used by a foreign station during day time on Sundays. Therefore I will try to check 7600 next Sunday.
If any of you are listening in next Sunday and are able to tune in to 7600 between 09-14 UTC, please do so. If you hear any signals from a foreign (Chinese?) station on 7600, please let us know by email. If 7600 happens to be used for one or more hours during day time (before 14 UTC), we will be using 7685.
October 23rd and 30th will see our internet stream between 13:52-20:00 UTC/ 14:52- 21:00 UTC (Oct. 30th > winter time).
Let's hope propagation will improve a bit so that we can enjoy loud and clear signals on 7600 or 7685.

All the best

Peter V

New UK pirate radio forum

Blunders writes: "Hope I'm not treading on peoples toes here, but should you be a UK Pirate Radio Enthusiast, especially FM, I've created a new forum especially for us,

It will include chat on the UK Pirate scene, mainly focussing on FM, and also have a forum for technical advise.

I've only just set this up so we're quite thin when it comes to members, but hopefully that will change.

Check it out here,
