Texas Radio SW to test on 75 metres this weekend

 

Cap’n Ric says Texas Radio Shortwave will be testing on two frequencies in the 75-meter band in the next few days.   These broadcasts will allow TRSW to evaluate frequencies to reach European listeners:

October 31, 1800-1900 UTC on Mike Radio (NL) on 3940 kHz

November 1, 1700-1800 and 1800-1900 UTC on Channel 292 (DE) on 3955 kHz.

The program will feature a selection of music (gospel, ragtime, blues, rock, and rap) performed by Texas artists. There is a special eQSL for correct, detailed reception reports for EACH frequency.  Two different cards feature pictures of armadillos, the state animals of Texas. 

 Listeners who submit correct reports for BOTH TESTS will receive a THIRD "Collector's Edition" eQSL. TRSW’s email is texasradiosw@gmail.com

Pop Shop Radio QSL card

 
I received a QSL card in the post today from Pop Shop Radio, based in Hope, British Columbia, Canada. I emailed a report after hearing the station via Channel 292 and the operator said he would post a QSL to me. There was a feature about the station in his local paper  http://www.popshopradio.ca/article.jpg

He is next on air tomorrow (Sat) on 6070 kHz at 1700 UTC (followed by the Bogusman at 1800 UTC). Thanks for the QSL!
