Britain Radio's 27th anniversary

BRI 27th year on SW schedule

It was 27 years ago when we made our first test transmission on SW back in June 1980, 27 years later we are still here broadcasting most 2nd/4th Sundays of the month!

We hope to celebrate in a small way on Sunday 10th/24th June, remembering the first 10 years of broadcasting playing the music from that period. We think 1980 to 1990 was the most exciting time for the station we often received over 100 letters for each broadcast, we had a full team of DJs and helpers, how times have changed in 2007!!

But we still have our listeners which is the most important thing, without their support we would of almost certainly closed down by now.

Subject to TX availability we shall be using 6245khz or possibly 6240khz from 10am UK time, if conditions are unfavourable then the programme should also be going out via our webstream which is available at www.geocities.com/britainradio48

Reception reports are especially welcome for this month's broadcasts to britainradio @ hotmail.com

Thanks for your support - listeners past and present.
