Operator of Radio Caroline Int/Goofy passes away

Very sad news that  Paul, who operated Radio Caroline Int and Radio Goofy from the Czech/German border area has died.

He had cancer and in his last message on the AM Forum in February he said he was seriously ill and the cancer had spread.

Now Sluwe Vos Radio has been informed that he passed away on April 26, 2018.

He was frequently heard on 48 metres with programmes of music and jingles and also a regular in Iann's pirate chat. He always thanked me for logging his station.

He was devoted to his dog Goofy. His blog- https://carolineteam.jimdo.com - featured not only his free radio logs but also photos from his travels and many photos of Goofy!

Condolences can be left on the AM Forum site (link above).

Thanks for the shows. May you rest in peace, Paul.

Sorry to hear that.

Very sad that another free-radio operator has died relatively young. My thoughts inevitably recall those others, such as Paul Johnson, Norman Nelson, and Mr. Nooitgedacht who are also no longer with us.

Indeed very sad news. Cancer is such a cruel illness as are others. Also RIP Tom Taylor and Colin Dixon

I didn't realise his name was Paul Bolle. Was this the same guy that operated Radio Hit International and others in 1973, That operator was also called Paul Bolle.
