What the hell was Merlin playing at tonight???? There was nobody on 6275 when i switched on my TX. He came on so after a while I moved up to 6280, the idiot followed me up there. When i went back to 6275, he followed me again. Does he think he owns the frequencies!!

Liar. I was watching you on the Twente SDR. The frequency was clear. There was a carrier that came on for a few seconds before I switched on. It went off and on a couple of times. When it stayed off for over a minute, I switched on.
I cleared the frequency for you and you followed me up to 6280.

You may need to check your transmitter.

You brazen liar!!!
As soon as your carrier disappeared off 6275, one appeared on top of me on 6280 and went I back to 6275 and the carrier on 6280 went back onto 6275.

At least you admit you WERE off 6275.

Do you think I'm going to monitor a frequency for hours before using it? It was free went I went on it.

I didn't like the way the other station was deliberately jamming you Merlin, regardless of who was on frequency first

Anonymous said...

Not another Irish station bullying us off the frequencies with lots of power!

I'm not going pissing up and down the band to get away from Merlin. He deliberately followed me up the band and back again.
I have no intention of jamming anybody. I moved and he jammed me. If he can't take it then don't start a war.
There's only so much arseholes that one can take.

I didn't jam him! I cleared the frequency and he jammed me. Twice.

I don't understand how Merlin's 20 watts or so can jam the 200w or so that Anonymous is using?? And it's a shame that Anonymous has to resort to bad language.

"you are wrong i was on 6275khz i went off for about one minute and came back on again .then you put a tone out on top of me"

Wrong. I checked a couple of times and there was no signal on 6275. Somebody else checked on a different SDR and said it was clear also. It was off air at approx 19 hours and i was going to switch on then a carrier appeared.
This was for considerably more than a minute.

A signal with audio appeared for a few seconds and then went off. This ocurred a couple of times.
I presumed this was just one of the messers so, as frequencies are scarce and I needed one, I went on it when the signal went off air (again).

I moved off frequency so you had no need to follow me.

I moved of the frequency and you followed me. No need for that!

Anonymous said...

Merlin cannot follow you easily, he is crystal controlled!!??

Anonymous said...

Merlin, If you had a crystal problem, then it was a problem for longer than you realise.

Still no need to resort to jamming me.

Somebody bang these twos heads together. Chill out, looks like a mistake was made by both of you, crossed wires.
Never mind, is it really worth arguing over, life is short. Is this the operator of Charity Radio 6275 here ? If so you aren't being very charitable. Merlin he has been on air a long time. If any mistakes were made never mind

"Is this the operator of Charity Radio 6275 here ? If so you aren't being very charitable."

Stop talking about things you nothing about please. I moved off the frequency and Merlin jammed me. I moved back and Merlin jammed me again.

You tell me if your so smart. I move off frequency. That should be the end of it. But it wasn't.
What else could I do? I moved and he jammed me.

Oh, and calling me a TWAT on the chat doesn't help. Especially as his transmitter was at fault.

Anonymous said...

Merlin. I hope to use 6275 tomorrow Sunday....If it's clear. If you're on it, then that fine. I'll try to find somewhere else.
But please don't call me a TWAT.
Sort your transmitter out. It was off the air when i went on. If you want a jamming war, great. I'm up for it. 24 hrs a day signal on top of you, no problem.
Neither of us want that, do we?

When i got off "your frequency" you jammed me. Twice.

Whats goes around, comes around.

" I did not jam you i was on 6275 then you came on .I did not go on 6280khz i went off and back on again on 6275 .then you put a tone out over me"

Indeed, I did put a tone over you, Note the "over you". Try to jam me again.

Relays? Merlin? This argument more entertaining than their output.

More lies from Merlin. A transmitter playing the same music as Merlin went on top of me on 6280 and then on top of me when I went back to 6275.
Have a nice Sunday.

Do you really think anybody cares if you use 6275? Don't flatter yourself......

One of them seems to be transmitting a tone on 6275khz now!

well it's not me i'm on 6305khz

This looked like a script from Eastenders!! Working together would help. I have to say that on many times when listening on sw a station would be broadcasting and a high powered Dutch station would NEVER check the frequency before going on the air and would jam the station for hours at a time.
So it has been going on for years, I have to say that Merlin had been on 6305 for a number of years and has been pushed off the frequency from station from Ireland on 6310 and Dutch stations broadcasting off frequency on 6302 causing them problems.
There had always been an unwritten rule hat stations made sure that they kept the 9k at least away to prevent problems, or if the station used the same frequency every Sunday others would not try to take it. These days it seems that if one station has more power they will use that frequency knowing who uses it.

Merlin used 6280khz at first until coast came on 6285khz so they moved to 6305khz and have been using that for a long time .Then harmony came on 6310khz so Merlin moved to their old frequency that they use to use back in the 1990s which was 6239khz then coast moved to 6235khz so Merlin moved to 6275khz this weekend .then a station moved from 6265khz to 6280khz then 6275khz and Merlin moved back to 6305khz

Theres no need for this cocky attitude. Totally not the spirit of free radio. Moving from 6275 to 6280 is not 'clearing the frequency' for Merlin. Your powerful transmitter just 5 KHz away is going to wipe him or most other stations out. Stations need to be 10Khz apart.

Sort it out!

Come on girls, stop all this squabbling! Nothing is done deliberate here, if it was it's all a waste of time anyway. And in Merlin's defence why are all his messages removed? Not a fair argument if we can't see his side to judge!

Merlin took his own messages down
