Radio Classic Sunday, which celebrates the offshore era, made its first shortwave broadcast yesterday and received more than 125 reports from listeners (who said shortwave was dead?). I heard them via the Nauen, Germany, transmitter on 6095. The other Dutch relays via Piepzender (3920) and Onda (5940) weren't heard here.
I also received an eQSL from Dutch pirate WMBR (World Marine Broadcasters Radio), who I heard on Saturday evening on 3935 kHz.
**Meanwhile, today Channel 292 has been broadcasting special programmes remembering the 1974 close down of the offshore stations off the Dutch coast on 6070 and 9670 kHz, and in the evening on 3955 kHz. Because of the bad propagation today the programmes will be repeated on Wednesday. Vist channel292.de for more information.**
