Radio Zand closes down

The teenager operator of Dutch station Radio Zand has decided to close down. He attracted some attention in the DX community by operating on 4625 - the channel used by the mysterious Russian station The Buzzer.

He also used an alternative frequency of 4695 kHz in SSB.

In a message on his Telegram page he said: "Hello everyone, My transmitter yet again got a burn on the USB port, meaning i can't transmit anymore, i honestly see this as a sign to stop doing broadcasts all together, it's just too expensive and too risky. I appreciate the support, this most likely isn't a goodbye, but for now it is."
