South Herts Radio to close

Gary Drew writes: "Just a little update for you regards Laser Hot Hits. Some Sunday's the webstream is relayed by Radio Blackbeard on 6266 KHz. Tests of Laser on other wavelengths will be carried out soon.

I am closing South Herts Radio at the end of the year. I have been running this hobby station for 5 and a half years and I want to start a new station later in 2013 trying something new. Plans are being made already and I hope to launch a new internet station with relays from the stream on FM and SW. I will be in partnership with others and I hope it will be on air '24/7' on-line with relays mostly on Sundays.

A new name is being considered and it will be registered for the domain on the web. I'm taking my time to get it right so it may be a good 9 months before it takes to the air so let's hope it's worth the wait."

SWR 7265 raid

Hallo zusammen,

alle was davon gehabt. So wie jetzt war es nur ein Ärgernis für alle
Beteiligten (inkl demjenigen, der die HHLR Sendungen gejammt hat und nun
 Ärger am Hals hat).

Info via A-DX via Achims Free Radio Desaster

I put this through Google translate:

Hi all,
If it can be assumed that the spook khz around 7265 in the past few weeks, was based on a person, the whole thing is probably only now come to an end. I hear ringing, that before the house day of that the friendly gentlemen by BNetzA outpost Krefeld stood with their VW bus at the door and hav more releases have stopped (for now).

Everything else is now probably clarify the "legal process", no idea how because Procedure and penalties look.

If the pirate would certainly be carried out such as this morning, "Radio Scotland International "in 6095 (the fact has its transmission time of the KBC customized so that you are not in the enclosure) came, had perhaps all of them had what. Just as now, it was just an annoyance for all
The person involved (including that has jammed the HHLR programs and now trouble at the neck has).

Can anyone confirm if the unofficial SWR relay on 7265 kHz has ended?

I wonder what the idea was behind this? Of course, once SWR was alerted to the fact that someone was running an unofficial shortwave relay of their station, its days were numbered!

Pirate broadcast of Sudwestrundfunk

SWR stopped broadcasts on 7265 kHz eight years ago but recently the station has been heard again on 7265 kHz.

Manuel Méndez of Lugo, Spain reports via the DX Listening Digest Yahoo group: "About the German station Südwestrundfunk SWR now on 7265 kHz Short Wave, that I picked it up 25th of November, this station has been out of the air since 2004 in this frequency. I send an e-mail in English to the Station to see if they confirm the come back to the air on Short Wave and here is the reply in German. Below is the English translation with the aid of Google translate."

Udo Merzig

Dear Mr. Méndez,
SWR operates since 2004 no more with the short-wave transmitter. In addition, we have this former SWR frequency without license. Currently, however, our SWR3 program is broadcast illegally on the 7265 kHz frequency without our permission. The German Federal Network Agency has been informed of this fact and we check if we can take legal action against the unknown people who are transmitting our program.
For further questions please contact us.
 Sincerely yours
 Udo Merzig

Harald Khul adds on the BDXC Yahoo group: "Hamburger Lokalradio is testing on 6190 kHz and 7265 kHz. However, there was a jamming station trying to interfer with these tests. Also the program of Westdeutscher Rundfunk WDR4 has been used for deliberate jamming of Hamburger Lokalradio on 6190 kHz and 7265 kHz."

DeLuxe FM again on shortwave

On 24th of November, DeLuxe FM radio show on Ems-Vechte-Welle FM-radio, which was launched on 28th November 1997 on that radio station, will celebrate its 15th anniversary on air ! :-)
And forget the perfect worldwide internet live stream:
Let's return to the good old radio roots with static noise and fading - this special show will be on air on RADIO 700's short wave frequencies beside regular FM-broadcast on Ems-Vechte-Welle FM-radio:

Time: GMT (Germany: +1h):
14:00 - 15:00h: MW 1.593 kHz
15:00 - 16:00h: SW 6.085 kHz (49m)
16:00 - 17:00h: SW 6.005 kHz (49m)
17:00 - 18:00h: SW 3.955 kHz (75m)
19:03 - 20:00h: regulary on Ems-Vechte-Welle FM radio:

Livestream: http://www.emsvechtewelle.de/

Up to 20.000 Watt are fired into atmosphere and depending on propagation and atmospheric condition, worlwide terrestrial reception should be possible with world receivers and SW-supporting car radios. Buy a world receiver or take grandpa's good old SW-supporting tube radio from the attic ! :-)
If you can't catch any terrestrial signal in your part of world, you can use ordinary internet stream in mp3-quality between 19:03 - 20:00h GMT-time (Germany: 20:03-21:00h).
In case you receive any signal, you should make a video and link it on following radio page:
http://www.facebook.com/deluxefm

A video with that reception from your part of world would be excellent ! :-) Good luck ! :-)
Fingers crossed for that unique experiment...! ;-)

Regards,
Mathias Volta

FRS Holland news

Following our October 28th broadcast three weeks ago, FRS-Holland will again take to the air on Sunday November 18th. Between 09:00- 10:30 UTC both 30 min. editions of FRS goes DX will be repeated as well as the FRS Golden Show. The latter suffered from heavy interference from a legal station on 7600 kHz during the October broadcast.

Our next full broadcast will be over the Holiday Season. Either on Sunday December 23rd or on Sunday December 30th FRS-Holland will continue a long time tradition.
And that means we invite you- the listener– to participate. Forward your very own personal Season's Greetings to the Free Radio Service Holland and we will make sure it’ll be read out during our broadcast.
You can dedicate your greetings to friends etc. but you can also make a 'general' NY Greeting. It can be written or (preferably!) taped (cassette, CD, MD or MP3 file) and send to P.O.Box 2702, 6049 ZG Herten in the Netherlands. Of course the easy & quick way  is by sending an e-mail to . You can add something special to our December broadcast by participating. So….don't hesitate and take part in the FRS Seasonal Party that day. It'll be great fun. Make sure your contribution reaches us in time....before December 9th.  We are looking forward hearing from you !!! Tune in December...it’ll be worth while!!! Go and tell your friends...

In December FRSH will be on 7600//5800 kHz for at least 5 hours. Pxs will be presented by Jan van Dijk doing the German show. Dave Scott will be playing classic rock and has a few interesting radio related items. We are very happy that Roger Davis (Britain Radio Int.) has joined the FRS ranks.
He will be hosting his debut show....it'll be another classic FRS Golden Show with great (and rare!) 60s/ 70s stuff as well as a feature on a landbased pirate radio station from years gone by. Peter Verbruggen will look back to what happened in the past (Day Calendar) en plays a mix of 80s/90s/00s records in FRS Magazine. He will also host FRS Goes DX with the latest news from the wonderful world of wireless . During the programmes we will read out October mail and Season's Greetings. There also is the Phrase that Pays’. FRS will most likely commence at 07.52 UTC/ 08.52 CET . Most likely that day FRS will likely also be heard via the Internet. Very soon we will inform you about the definitive date: December 23rd or December 30th....

Good listening next Sunday!
