Channel 292 shutdown report fake

An email claiming to be from German low-power shortwave station Channel 292 which said the station will have to shutdown for three months from tomorrow (July 13) is a fake.

In the message the email said: "I have to shut down the transmitter for three months beginning 13th July at 0700 UTC. I have no other choice to do this because part of the transmitter needs replaced and I cannot get this part fast it needs to be made from the company."

It was 'signed' by the station owner Rainer Ebling.

But on the WRTH Facebook page  Rainer said: "This is fake. Forget all messages, that don't come from our normal address. Maybe you can spread the truth. You see, the fake mail still uses our old address."

Borderhunter Summer Meeting

Hi Free Radio and pirate fans!
It's already time for another one! From the 13th to 15th of July 2018, everyone of distinction in the scene meets once again – both listeners and stations!
You can stay in a car, tent, caravan, hotel, B&B or at the free accommodation at the camp site (complete with beds, but bring a sleeping bag) The meeting begins officially on Saturday, as usual. In addition, every year many hobbyists travel on Friday. Everyone is always most cordially welcome at any time!
It’s a nice present for yourself, don’t stay at home but meet a lot of other free radio enthusiasts!

Het is weer tijd voor de aankondiging van een nieuwe Summermeeting! Dit jaar zal het festijn plaats vinden van vrijdag 13 juli tot en met zondag 15 juli 2018, iedereen is welkom; zowel luisteraars als stations.
Je kunt de nacht doorbrengen in je auto, tent, caravan, in een nabij gelegen hotel, B & B of bij de gratis accommodatie op de piraten camping (compleet met bedden, wel je eigen slaapzak mee nemen) De meeting begint officieel op zaterdag  12.00uur maar zoals ieder jaar komen veel hobbyisten al aan op vrijdagavond en blijven tot de zondagochtend.  Je kan de zaterdagavond/nacht ook gezellig blijven en als je helemaal uitgepraat of uitgenoten bent het bed in waarna op de zondagochtend het ontbijt voor je klaar staat en je uitgerust de thuis reis weer aan kunt. Ons motto voor deze Meeting is zoals altijd: Voel je thuis!

Hallo liebe Free Radio Freunde und Pirate lovers! Es ist wieder einmal so weit – das PIRATE MEETING 2018 ruft! Alles was Rang und Namen hat in der Szene trifft sich auch dieses Jahr wieder zum größten europäischen „Piraten Spektakel irgendwo zwischen Holland und Belgien“. Und mit „Alles“ meinen wir natürlich Hörer und Stationen! Für dieses Jahr haben wir geplant, dieses weltweit bekannte Treffen om 13. Juli bis zum 15. Juli 2018 stattfinden zu lassen!! Man kann im Hotel übernachten (B & B), man kann im eigenen Zelt die sowieso nur kurzen Nächte verbringen oder man kann in einem Großraumzelt oder in festen Unterkünften ein paar Augen voll Schlaf nehmen! Betten sind ausreichend vorhanden! (Dann aber bitte Schlafsack mitbringen). Auch in diesem Jahr beginnt das Treffen offiziell am Samstag, aber jedes Jahr reisen zahlreiche Campbesucher schon am Freitag an was die Meetingorganisation aber auch nicht in Verlegenheit bringt – jeder ist immer und zu jeder Zeit herzlich willkommen!
