On the Twente Receiver - Radio Digitaal this afternoon with a lengthy programme of polka and rock music. Around 2.30pm till 4pm UK Time. Great signal and modulation.
I thought that the US may be active with shortwave pirates given that a) US SW pirates tend to be political or at least quirky and b) it's an important weekend for the US elections. I find that the best remote SDR Receiver for US based SW pirates is Pennsylvania. I was pleased to find some activity even at a relatively early hour. On 6925 kHz, a repeating female computer voice saying "Donald Trump is Fired". At times the voice sped up, at others it was running slow. This went on for around 25 minutes, silence then carrier off at 9.30pm UK time. The signal was in AM mode and was stable but weak.
On 6930 kHz, a very strong signal (Upper Side Band only) with classic rock music including Rush. A DJ was announcing tracks in a very professional manner with a bit of background information on each. The station identified after a few tracks as WDOG. I have heard them before, back in August, in AM mode.

Dolfijn always sounds as if he is a having a whale of a time, with real porpoise to his programming.
He found his plaice on the band to play his tuna :)
