On 1 January 1974, Radio Mi Amigo started broadcasting to Benelux from the radio ship Mi Amigo on the North Sea. When Radio Veronica and Radio Noordzee closed on 31 August 1974, Radio Mi Amigo continued broadcasting, producing its programmes in Playa d’Aro in Spain.
Radio Mi Amigo is returning to the air on the Costa del Sol in June/July/August 2010 on 100.9 FM from the 900 metre high antenna and 12.5 kW transmitter of Sun FM.
