Agreed. A station who broadcast a couple of times a year via the transmitters of others lacks free radio credibility, only in my opinion of course.
And what exactly is “free radio credibility”? Playing non stop music?
I suppose music programmes , interspersed with a bit of lively chat is acceptable when using your own gear!

Which is better?
A station with its own transmitter than just plays non-stop music with a few jingles or station who is relayed via another pirate but produces interesting programmes with chat, information and good music.
I know which I prefer.
Do all those with their own transmitters only play nonstop music? I think you're generalising, but each to their own.
As mentioned in my last blog post, 76 metres at Christmas time was often more interesting than 6 MHz. Is Central a UK station?

Did anyone catch the station on 6950 the same time Argus was on? They started on 6945 but then moved up after a few minutes

Radio Pamela doesn't play only non stop music 😔 and uses it's own Transmitters
Radio Corsair also has its own transmitter and does not play a non stop music format
It doesn't really matter whether stations use relay transmitters or not. It's all about the programme content and stations like FRSH do it particularly well.
I don't agree. Anyone can record a programme and send it to a relay but that doesn’t make them a station operator.
it depends who the relaying station is to me. if its a free station relaying another free station that's fine. If its a licenced station relaying a free radio stream then that's not free radio. On the other hand a free station relaying a licensed station - like some do of the licensed so called "Radio Caroline" events, is something that mistifies me.
