After two poor Sundays, conditions bounced back today. Stations heard in alphabetical order:

Antonio Radio heard playing oldies on 6292 @ 1245 and giving out hotline number. SINPO 33433.

Radio Borderhunter was on 6210 @ 1140 playing Boney M and the Eurythmics. Mentioned had a new antenna system. Obviously working well. SINPO 44444. Also on 6300 @ 1250 calling Northpole. SINPO 43443.

Brandaris Radio on 6306 @ 1535 with ID, email add and hotline number. Went off five minutes later after mentioning R Scotland, VO The Netherlands and WCR. SINPO 34333.

Britain Radio Int heard via JRRI on 6242 @ 0905 with regular 2nd Sunday show. Roger Davis mentioned still has QSLs available. Also talk about REM Island being dismantled. Noted later on 6239. Good signal on both frequencies but some utility QRM. SINPO 43443.

Laser Hot Hits was on via JRRI on 6390 @ 0910 playing 60s music. SINPO 34433. Also heard via JRRI on 6239 @ 1145 with SINPO 44444.

Radio Merlin Int on 6280. RMI jingles heard. Also on this frequency a recording of a Dutch station and Swinging Radio England recording. SINPO went from 33433 @ 0945 to 44444 at 1130. On Alfa Lima's forum, RMI said he was playing old Veronica and SRE recordings.

Mystery Radio heard on 6220 with an actual programme! Chris Ise of Crazy Wave Radio was presenting a show @ 0805. SINPO 33433.

Radio Northpole was on 6300 @ 1115 playing 70s pop. SINPO 34333.

Orion Radio with an excellent signal today on 52m. Heard on 5725 @ 0755. Playing Billy Joel song, email address: info(@)orionradio.nl and signing off just after 0800. SINPO 45544.

Radio Paardenkracht heard on 6308 @ 0745 playing oldies. SINPO 44444.

Pirate Music was on 6878 playing oldies @ 0820. SINPO 33333. There's an interesting posting on the SW Pirates Yahoo! Group about Pirate Music from Dario Montferini.

Premier Radio Int with a live programme on 6265 @ 0800 with 70s music and jingles. SINPO 34333.

Radio Rainbow Int was on 6285 @ 0810 reading email from listener in Finland and playing a U2 song. SINPO 34333.

Radio Ramona heard on 6400 with oldies and playing the Pirates Week show from the USA. SINPO 34333.

Radio Robbie heard on 6251 @ 0830 with schlager and country music. SINPO 33433.

Radio Scotland Int with rock music and IDs on 6265 @ 1150. SINPO 44444. Also heard on 6307 @ 1255 in QSO with Northpole, Paardenkracht, Rob 007, Shadowman and Borderhunter. SINPO 44444.

Radio Waves Int was on 6324 again today. Heard at 0750 playing country music with chat in French. SINPO 34333.

West Coast Radio on 6265 @ 1252, playing New Order's "Blue Monday." Mentioned Dave in England. SINPO 44433. WCR also heard on 6303 @ 1345 in QSO with Radio Kenwood.

Radio Robbie heard a couple of times today. First heard on 6251 @ 0925 playing oldies but suffering QRM from utilities. SINPO 33433. Then @ 1110, Robbie heard on top of Laser on 6275. SINPO 33333.

Radio Scotland Int was on 6302 @ 0940 in QSO with Zoulu Kilo, Scirocco and Toyota. Good signal from RSI. SINPO 44444.

Laser Hot Hits heard during the day on 6275. First heard @ 0955, playing pop and giving out the Merlin, Ontario, address. It was probably Laser heard later in the day with a Radio London documentary. Signal poor-fair, but I don't know if that's down to skip conditions or amount of power being used. SINPO 34333.

Radio Skyline was on 6298 @ 1100 playing schlager, and IDing as "Skyline International Radio." SINPO 33433.

West Coast Radio was on 6312 @ 1415 playing 80s pop but some utility QRM. SINPO 43443. WCR was also logged on 6327 @ 1510 in QSO with Skyline and Zodiac. SINPO 44444.

Radio Zodiac also had a good signal on 6327 @ 1430. SINPO 44333. Also on 6327 was Radio Tarzan, joining in the QSO @ 1515. SINPO 34433.

Radio Valencia with polka and IDs in Dutch on 6305 @ 1505. Off at 1615. SINPO 33433.

Radio Waves Int was on 6324 @ 1530, suffering QRM from the QSOing Dutch stations 3kHz away. Talk in French plus French music. SINPO 33433. Still on this evening with a better signal.
Radio Zodiac turned up on 6313 @ 1545. More of that ute QRM. SINPO 43433.

Radio Bonofox heard on 6295 @ 1550 playing oldies and giving out the email address. SINPO 43443.

No sign of Mystery Radio today, but fellow Italian Pirate Music was on 6878 playing 80s pop with "Power FM" jingles @ 1700. SINPO 34333.

Radio Spaceman heard on 3927 @ 1850 with a good signal, but suffering some 'growling' type of ute QRM. SINPO 43443.

Another Dutch station on 3910 but signal not strong enough to rise above the noise level. Heard @ 1855 with SINPO 24332.

Radio Ramona was heard relaying an American pirate radio programme called Pirates Week. Heard @ 1955 on 6400. Has a website at www.piratesweek.info After the programme ended Ramona continued with his programmes until closedown @ 2107.

Cupid Radio booming in on 6305 @ 2040 playing dance music. He said he was testing a new amplifier and was running 400W. Gave out SMS number and email address:

Radio Oscar Zulu (ROZ) was heard on 6268 @ 1845 playing 60s music. Fair signal with good peaks. ID at 1900. SINPO 33443.

Thurs Oct 5

I saw from the SW Pirates Yahoo! group that Radio Whitesnake was due on 6300. I got in from work at 1930 (8.30pm BST), switched on the radio but no pirate signals heard on 48m apart from Mystery Radio on 6220. Earlier in the week I'd heard Zeelandia after 2000. But I guess as we go into the winter months (it definitely feels like autumn here) 48 metres will shut down in the evenings.

Dutch station called Radio Torezon (tent) heard on 6251 @ 1720, playing polka, ID in Dutch and off 1725. Some splash from the clandestine station Radio Zamaneh on 6245. SINPO 43433. The station was also heard with a good signal on 6290 @ 1735 playing schlager, off 1737. SINPO 44444. (see comment)

Radio Likedeeler heard on 6306 @ 1730 playing rock n roll, talk in German. SINPO 34333.

Mystery Radio on again this evening. Heard on 6220 @ 1750 with 44444 SINPO.

Radio Zeelandia on 6300 @ 1900 playing polka and schlager, ID in Dutch and English. Giving out SMS number, mention Jaroslav. Off at 2010. SINPO 34433.

Start of the month, but poor conditions this morning.

West Coast Radio playing oldies on 6290 @ 0900. SINPO 34433.

Radio Scirocco on 6300 @ 0905 with schlager and polka. SINPO 34433.

A good signal from Radio Shadowman who made a short broadcast on 6305 @ 0915. SINPO 43443.

Radio Paardenkracht was on 6308 @ 0935 with the usual mix of schlager, polka and oldies. SINPO 34333.

Good signal from Radio Borderhunter on 6210 @ 0910, playing song "On the Border", and greeting listeners. He also said Bermudadreieck would be on from 0700 on Tuesday, as it is a holiday in Germany on that day. SINPO 44433.

Mystery Radio was on 6220 @ 1000 with non-stop pop. SINPO 34333.

Radio Blackbird heard on 6300 @ 1115 with schlager and polka but suffering co-channel QRM.

Voice of the Netherlands was on 6296 @ 1125, asking for QSO. SINPO 34433.

Listening was interrupted at 1145 when there was a thunderstorm and the power was cut off for 40 minutes. I unplugged the antenna, just to be on the safe side!

Storm passed over and back to the listening.

Recording of Big L heard on 6210 @ 1245. Just heard mentions of "Big L 1395" but not a good signal. SINPO 24332.

Radio Robbie was on 6295 @ 1250 playing oldies. SINPO 34333.

MV Baltic Radio heard via Julich on 6045 signing off in English and German @ 1258, closing down with song by Lily Allen. SINPO 55555.

Radio Spaceman was on 3927. First heard @ 1840 playing rock and pop. Good signal 44444. Still booming in now at 2145 with s9+10dB signal.

On Air AM from Germany heard @ 1845 on 6272 playing a Madonna song and DJ T Rex giving out hotline number. Fair signal (33333).

Radio Fox 48 was heard briefly on 6280 @ 1900 with rock music. SINPO 33333.

Radio Mazda was on his usual frequency on 6290 @ 1950 with a good signal, playing schlager. SINPO 44444.

A strong signal from Radio Boomerang on 6298 @ 2025, playing pop. SINPO 54444.

Radio Pacman heard @ 2300 on 3927 calling Spaceman, who had just signed off. SINPO 24432. (Spaceman came back for QSO)

Sept 27 & 28

Mystery Radio continues to be active, heard both this evening and yesterday evening on 6220. Logged @ 1935 today with a SINPO 44444.

Cupid Radio was heard on 6295 this evening with a good signal @ 1930, playing a song by Roxy Music and reading a message from a listener in France. SINPO 44444.

Very quiet tonight - maybe it was the conditions.

Pirate Music heard on 6878 @ 1815 with 80s pop (SINPO 34333) and Mystery Radio was on 6220 @ 1830 with its non-stop pop (SINPO 44444).

Radio Mazda heard on 6305 @ 1915 playing schlager. SINPO 44333.

Sun Sept 24

Poor conditions this morning.

Only station I could hear when I turned on the radio was Tower/Veronique on 6275 - and that was only with a fair signal and a lot of fading. This was at 0800 (34333). Signal did improve during the morning and is now 44444. Usual programming of schlager, phone calls, messages etc.

Radio Shadowman was on 6304 @ 0920 playing polka. ID in Dutch. Went off five minutes later. SINPO 44433.

Radio Borderhunter was a victim of the poor conditions here. Only a weak signal on 6210 @ 0930. SINPO 24332.

Conditions had improved by the time I logged Radio Spaceman on 6307 @ 1035. Rock, pop, schlager and a good signal (44444).

Radio Ramona was heard on 6400 playing rock music. Fair signal (34333) @ 1040.

Radio Paardenkracht was on 6239 with a whole mixture of different music - schlager, jazz, pop, polka etc. Heard @ 1115 with a SINPO of 34433. Closed down at 1200.

Radio Fox 48 heard @ 1605 on 6298 playing pop and dance music. He was also complaining that no-one from Germany ever sends him an SMS! SINPO 34333.

Pirate Music was on 6878 playing non-stop 80s pop. SINPO @ 1615 was 34333 while much of the same from Mystery Radio on 6220 @ 1630. SINPO 34433.

An internet station called Treasure Island Oldies was heard on 6295 being relayed by an unknown station @ 1915. Format seemed to be music from 50s, 60s & 70s. Web address is www.treasureislandoldies.com SINPO 34333.

Sat Sept 23

Big L, which returned to 1395 medium wave this week, was heard on 6277 @ 1115 with a strong signal. Someone with a powerful transmitter was putting out it the programme, although I suspect Big L had no idea about this. SINPO 54444.

Radio Valencia was heard with a good signal on 6310 @ 1120 with schlager and country music. SINPO 44333.

The mighty Tower Radio was on 6300 @ 1300 playing schlager and dance music, giving out hotline number in Dutch and German. SINPO 54444.

A new Dutch station called Radio Brandaris heard @ 1620 on 6305 playing schlager, giving out email and hotline number. Faded out or went off at 1630. SINPO 34333.

Radio Zodiac Int was on 6308 @ 1755 playing oldies from the 80s. Good signal but noisy frequency plus fading - 44333.

Radio Mazda was heard with a strong signal on 6290 @ 1805 playing polka and schlager, greeting Jaroslav. SINPO 54444.

Pirate Music was on 6878 with 80s oldies, Power FM jingles. SINPO 34333.

Radio Bonofox playing rock and pop on 6300 @ 1910. SINPO 44333.

Radio Fox 48 was heard on 6285 playing "Radio Ga Ga" @ 2100. Was also giving out mailing address in Eisenach, Germany and hotline number. He said was running about 300-400W. SINPO 34333.

Weak signal on 3927 @ 2115, but too much noise and fading to hear anything clearly!

It was either a quiet evening or conditions not good.

Station heard on 6293 @ 1945 but signal only just being heard above noise. Playing pop (24332).

Pirate Music was on 6878 playing 80s music @ 1950. Fair signal (34333).

Thurs Sept 21

Cupid Radio heard @ 1820 signing off on 6308 with a good signal(44444).

Radio Golfbreker was on 6280. Heard playing schlager @ 1900, ID in Dutch. SINPO 33433.

KTL (Kilo Tango Lima) Radio was heard on 6312 @ 1915 with a badly modulated signal. Difficult to understand. Playing oldies, but might as well not bother unless he can get that signal sorted out. Off at 1920.

Radio Whitesnake coming in with a good signal on 6300 @ 1930, playing rock music. SINPO 44433.

Weak signal on 6310 @ 2040, playing dance music but too much noise and SSB QRM to hear properly.

Wed Sept 20

Radio Foxfire heard with a good signal on 6306 @ 1920, playing oldies, including "Jungle Rock" and "Wild One." Announced email address of radiofoxfire@hotmail.com and mailing address of PO Box 128, 9410AB Beilen, Netherlands. SINPO 44433.

Station heard broadcasting a documentary about the offshore station Laser 558 on 6300 @ 2045. Fair signal (34333).

Tues Sept 19

Radio Zodiac Int heard @ 1800 on 6308, mentioning Jaroslav and playing some oldies. SINPO 43433.

Strong signal from Cupid Radio on 6280 @ 1920, with schlager, but some ssb QRM. SINPO 43433. Giving out SMS number in English, Dutch and German.

A weak signal on 6300, caught the song "Live & Let Die" before it disappeared into the noise. This was at 1915.

The Italians were out again tonight with Mystery Radio booming in on 6220 with a strong signal (44444) @ 1930 while on 6878 was Pirate Music with non-stop music and "Power FM" jingles. Fair to good signal @ 1935 (34333).

There seemed to be more activity outside the 48mb than in it this evening.

I missed Radio Boomerang on 6530, but I just caught Orion Radio signing off on 6520 @ 1905, mentioning using 46m on Sunday. Good signal.

Italian station Pirate Music, presumed, on 6878 @ 1910 with non-stop pop music and Power FM jingles. Fair signal (34333).

Mystery Radio was on 6220 with the usual strong signal. Heard @ 1930 with SINPO 44444.

Conditions not so good here today.

Orion Radio was on 6281. Heard @ 0755 with oldies before sign off at the usual time of 0800. SINPO 34433.

Radio Victoria was on 6295 playing 80s music @ 0805. SINPO 34433.

Radio Robbie heard on 6275 @ 0810 with schlager and giving ID in Dutch, German and English.

Radio Paardenkracht was on 6325 with a good signal @ 0815, spelling out his email address. SINPO 44433.

Radio Scirocco heard playing schlager on 6285 @ 0820, and giving out hotline number in Dutch, English and German. SINPO 34433.

The Dutch station, kindly IDed yesterday by Marcel (see comments), De 8 Onweizen uut Maarle on 6280 @ 1050. Good signal (43433).

Radio Waves Int was on 6324 @ 1125 with talk in French and playing French music. SINPO 33433.

Radio Malaisy, presumed, on 6310 @ 1130 with pop music. No ID heard. SINPO 33443.

European Music Radio via Julich was on 6045 @ 1200 with music, a letters programme and a feature with pirate radio DJ talking about his time on Radio Jackie. As always, an enjoyable programme from EMR. Can't fault the reception either (55555).

Back on 48m, Radio Brigitte was on 6300 @ 1210 with schlager and giving out email and mailing address in Dutch, English, German and French! SINPO 33433.

Delta Radio (Gelderland) was on 6290 @ 1220 playing oldies but having problems with his mic and CDs (kept jumping). SINPO 44444.

Out for the rest of the day, but this evening Radio Bonofox on 6310 with a mix of oldies and polka @ 2000 but suffering utility QRM. SINPO 33433.

Radio Spaceshuttle Int heard on 9290 (lsb) @ 2040, with English and Finnish (?) rock. Caught ID. SINPO 24432. First time I've logged this station!
